The cover for Complex’s July 2023 Digital Cover featuring KAI CENAT
In this project, I was responsible for all post-production graphic design elements.
The primary objective was to create a cohesive magazine cover that played into the concept of The Truman Show. This involved setting Kai Cenat in front of his fictional, idealistic small-town neighborhood house while he trims his hedge, capturing the surreal and idyllic atmosphere inspired by the movie.
One of the key challenges was accurately reflecting the whimsical and surreal aesthetic of The Truman Show while maintaining a realistic and engaging cover. Through iterative feedback sessions with the client and photographer and meticulous attention to detail throughout the process, we achieved a balanced and visually striking cover.
